The program offers sound foundations in theoretical and applied linguistics, educational theory and practice, as well as in cultural aspects of language learning, teaching, and assessment. The program consists of four theoretical courses, four methods courses, one course on each: assessment, culture, and research methods as well as an introductory seminar. Students practice their knowledge in classroom settings during the practicum.  After the completion of 33 (32 for adult education) semester hours, students have an option of writing a master thesis.
